About this event
Winter is once again upon us! For many, this means a trip to the mountains. A few within RMC BMW CCA couldn’t be more elated for the arrival of snow, ice, and winds as it means we once again have the pleasure of sliding around on the infamous Georgetown Lake!
Georgetown Lake is reserved for one day, Friday February 20, 2026 with participants trying their hand at navigating through the autocross-style course set atop the ice reservoir at an elevation of 8,500 feet. Participation is open to drivers of legal driving age and experience, this is a great time to enhance winter driving skills and the limits of your vehicle. There will be a skid pad and a timed gymkhana course.
The event begins promptly at 8:30 am with the required drivers meeting at 9:00 am. A practice session will follow in the morning followed by timed sessions starting at noon.
Post-event lunch at Cabin Creek Brewing, 577 22nd Street, Georgetown.
