About this event
Join us on Saturday, August 30th for a brisk summer tour of the quaint beautiful roads and towns Along the San Juan Coast from Port Gamble to Port Angeles.
Leave the city hassles behind and exchange them for two lane country road hassles (😊)!
We will meetup early in the AM in the Kingston/Port Gamble area for coffee. Then drive across the historic (and very cool) Hood Canal bridge and some twisty roads to Port Ludlow. Then another pleasant, tree filled drive to Port Townsend where we’ll stop for coffee and snacks and enjoy the view of the strait of San Juan de Fuca as well as the wonderful shops and sights there. Then a short skip to the famous Fort Warden State Park, where the movie Officer and a Gentleman was filmed (if you are under 30 you may not know what I am talking about!).
Then it’s off to Sequim and finally on to Port Angeles where we will end and break for lunch at the restaurant of your choice. You are on your own for a route home. If you want to make a weekend of it, going all the way around the Olympics is a great two day drive !
