Good Day BMW Tour Friends,
It is soon time to head to Sun Mountain Lodge. The person that registers for the tour, MUST be a BMW CCA member. If you are not a member, please go to the following link to join. https://www.bmwcca.org/
For those not familiar with Sun Mountain Lodge, you will probably be shocked that it even exists; a full service resort on the warm side of the Cascades Foothills! The property is situated above the Methow Valley with expansive views of the surrounding forest and valley and includes a luxurious spa, casual bar and grill and an AAA Four Diamond dining room with an award winning 5,000 bottle wine cellar focusing on Pacific Northwest labels.
COST: The tour is $30 per person. We have 21 rooms set aside for our club so we are having to limit the number of cars to 21.
The tour will start at Starbucks in Monroe located at 19813 US Hwy 2 Suite E-1 on Saturday, August 14th, you will need to be there by 8am for the drivers meeting. We will have a safety briefing for driving courtesy. We will get on the road at 08:30 and head North. We are still working on a lunch location and will let all who sign up know where it will be.
Sun Mountain Lodge continues to monitor the evolving response and guidance from local and national officials regarding the Covid-19 situation.
- We are operating in Phase Three mode of Governor Inslee’s COVID-19 “Healthy Washington Road Map to Recovery” program.
- Our policies will remain the same, except for masks: The CDC stated that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks in indoor and outdoor settings. Vaccinated guests may resume activities without wearing a mask or staying six feet apart, except where required by federal, state, local tribal or territorial laws, rules and regulations.
- Sun Mountain Lodge Staff will continue to follow phase 3 requirements, including wearing face masks, until further notice to protect guests and employees.
When we arrive in Winthrop we will be staying at the Sun Mountain Lodge which is a fantastic location that I am quite sure you will enjoy. Advance reservations are required for breakfast, dinner, spa services and some activities. Additionally, there is a Cowboy dinner where you can ride a horse or be taken in a horse drawn wagon to have a BBQ in the outdoors. Again, this is something you will need to arrange through the Lodge.
The room rates we are being offered are fantastic, ranging from $196-$220 per night, plus tax, depending on where the room is located. These rates are for double or single occupancy. If you want to stay and extra night you will receive the same rate. We will be able to accommodate 21 cars on this tour so make your plans now if you want ot participate. Call the Lodge, online reservations will not receive our negotiated rate, at 800-572-0493 and tell them you are with the BMW Car Club. The last day to obtain the lodging is July 14th, 2021. The Lodge is totally booked. After the July 14th deadline they will be releasing our reserved rooms to those on their waitlist. One other note, If you decide to cancel the room reservation must be canceled no later than 10 days prior to arrival so your credit card is not charged.
You will be provided with more details once you sign up and we know more after our pre-drive which will be in mid-July.
Waivers for ALL drivers and passengers will be signed online. If you put your phone number in during registration, speed waiver will auto send you the link. If you choose not to do that, the link will be in your confirmation email. Minor waivers will have to be signed on paper.
